Hawaii
The Vote16HI coalition is a nonpartisan collection of Hawaii students and civic organizations working to advocate for 16-year-old voting on the state level. A bill introduced in 2019 was approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee in February 2020, with strong support from students and influential organizations including the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs, the Hawaii chapter of Common Cause, and other partners. Building on that success, a new bill was introduced in 2021, and the coalition is working to advocate for its passage. Follow @Vote16Hawaii on Twitter and @Vote16HI on Instagram.
