Historic Campaign Earns Over 170,000 Votes to Finish at 48%. Eyes on 2020.

The Vote16SF campaign, which became Yes on Prop F, earned more than 170,000 votes in November to finish at 48%. While this falls short of the threshold required to pass the ballot measure, it is a tremendous accomplishment for a youth-led campaign that was nothing more than an idea two years ago. This result proves that lowering the voting age for municipal elections is a viable policy solution that people are ready to seriously consider. Vote16SF is primed to win on the ballot in 2020, and has inspired campaigns in other cities around the country. Read the press release for more information.
